Storage your smart contracts can trust
Cryptographic proof on every object. No centralized chokepoints, no IPFS pinning headaches — just verifiable, durable storage for NFTs and dApps.
1 TB free for 30 days · No credit card required · No egress fees
Off-chain storage with on-chain integrity
On-chain verifiable storage
Every object gets a cryptographic proof anchored to Filecoin. Smart contracts can verify asset authenticity without trusting a centralized server.
NFT metadata & asset hosting
Store and serve NFT metadata, images, and media at scale. No IPFS pinning complexity, no gateway timeouts — just a reliable S3-compatible endpoint.
Decentralized by default
Data is distributed across independent Filecoin storage providers globally. No single point of failure, no vendor lock-in.
Predictable, low-cost pricing
Flat $4.99/TB/month. No per-request fees that explode with NFT traffic spikes. No egress charges when your dApp serves data to users.
S3 API — works with your stack
Use any S3-compatible SDK, including ethers.js workflows that write metadata post-mint. No proprietary API to learn.
Immutable object locking
Lock NFT assets and metadata so they can never be altered or deleted — meeting collector expectations and marketplace requirements.
What teams are building
NFT collections
Host artwork, metadata JSON, and provenance records. Objects are content-addressed and immutable.
dApp backends
Replace centralized S3 buckets backing your dApp with verifiable, decentralized storage. One endpoint change, zero re-architecture.
Token-gated content
Store gated media behind presigned URLs. Only wallets holding the token can generate a valid access link — enforced at the application layer.
On-chain game assets
Game items, skins, and save states stored with verifiable provenance. Players can prove ownership and authenticity independently of your servers.
Frequently asked questions
Each dataset is assigned a unique digital fingerprint (CID) at upload, creating a verifiable record of its contents. The system then automatically checks your data on a recurring basis (about every 24 hours) to confirm that the data still matches that original fingerprint, ensuring nothing has been altered.
Fil One provides an S3-compatible API: if your application works with AWS S3, it works with Fil One. Point your SDK or CLI at our endpoint and authenticate with your API keys.
Fil One takes a security-first approach to S3-compatibility. The S3-compatible API enables simple setup and migration. Storage supports private buckets by default, with public access consistent with full S3 parity coming soon.
Read Fil One docs, access the app to get started with no code required, or talk to someone on our team to get started.
Fil One uses industry-standard encryption with per-object data encryption keys, ensuring your data is protected regardless of which provider it's stored with. We are actively pursuing SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications — if you'd like to be notified when those are finalized or have other questions about security, reach out to our team directly at security@fil.one.
Filecoin is a distributed storage network launched in 2020, designed to make data portable, verifiable, and resilient by default.
Instead of relying on a single proprietary vendor, Filecoin uses open protocols and an open market to store data with a global network of independent providers — helping reduce single points of failure and deliver true multi-cloud durability.
